Who it suits
Good for first-time visitors who want to walk everywhere, and for couples. Families often do better slightly outside the centre, where rooms are larger for the same money.
How we report hotel prices in Rome
- The price is for the whole stay, not a misleading "from" figure. Taxes the hotel collects on arrival are listed separately and added into the total.
- Every price is labelled: a live supplier rate we measured, or an estimate, and it carries the date it was measured.
